What is the expected lifespan?
HOLTEN has been building grit storage halls since the early 1960s and can claim, based on experience,
that the average expected lifespan is >35 years.
Why a hall door with a clear entrance height of 9 m?
This allows the truck to leave the hall with the bridge tilted when delivering salt,
This supports maximum filling within the hall and avoids collision damage.
Does a hall need to be treated regularly?
All wooden parts exposed to weathering are impregnated before delivery
and do not require any further treatment throughout their entire service life.
Any subsequent painting serves only for visual purposes.
Will the hall be delivered for assembly using special transport?
The hall is prefabricated in the factory into components, in such maximum dimensions
which enable transport with conventional standard trucks.
This means that our customers do not have to design the installation site for special transport.
From what storage quantity does it make sense to use a grit storage hall?
From a storage quantity of approximately 500 tons, the profitability of a hall begins,
For smaller storage quantities, storage in silos is usually more effective.
